More than 1.000 triathletes will participate in Castellón Triathlon.
The Mediterranean Triathlon circuit starts for the second consecutive year in the capital of La Plana.
The 6 and 7 for July Castellón Triathlon will host more than 1.000 participants. The Javier Marquina football field will be the meeting point.
In the day of Saturday will be the turn of the smallest. More than 200 school students will perform an aquatlón, which is part of the Vialterra Sports Games of the Valencia Community, and within the activities of Minitriatlón, an activity promoted by the Trinidad Alfonso Foundation; and that will also have throughout the weekend with an area for children, in the environment of the Expo, where the youngest of the house can make a first approach to the world of triathlon through the game.
In the afternoon the activity will continue in the Javier Marquina with the collection of numbers of the tests of the adults and with a zone of exhibitors in which to be able to make some purchases.
The Sunday 8 Olympic, Sprint and Supersprint
On Sunday from the morning 8 will start the queen competition of Castellón Triathlon. The first to take the start will be the triathletes who will play the Olympic distance (1.500 meters of swimming, 40 kilometers of cycling and 10 kilometers of running), they will do it in four rounds.
From the 9.45 hours it will be the turn of the participants of the Sprint triathlon (750 meters of swimming, 20 kilometers of cycling and 5 kilometers of running), with five different exits. In this modality we will be able to enjoy for the first time of the competition by pairs, in which the two members of the same will have to complete all the test together.
The 10.25 is the chosen time for all those who dispute the Supersprint mode (350 meters of swimming, 10 kilometers of cycling and 2,5 kilometers of running). In this distance there will also be competition for couples, all of them can be formed by two girls, two boys and mixed.
Once the competition in the Javier Marquina field is over, the awards ceremony will be held, where the first three of each category and distance will be placed on the podium.
The test can be followed by Streaming
As a novelty in 2019 all the competition will be streamed and can be seen through the Facebook account of Mediterránea Triathlon, with which everyone can compete in this great competition.
In addition, we encourage everyone to travel to the Grao de Castellón to live the competition live, both in the different areas of passage of athletes, and through the giant screen that is going to install to make the follow-up of the live broadcast, and not miss anything of what happens in the competition.
Valencia the next stop of the Mediterranean Triathlon
The next stop of Mediterranean Triathlon will be on Valencia Triathlon, the 13, 14 and 15 for September. Alicante Triathlon will be the test in charge of closing the circuit the 28 and 29 of September. Registration for both tests is still open on the event website.
