Mayencos wants to recover Jaca's winter triathlon

On the occasion of the celebration of the XX anniversary of Mayencos Triathlon, the club wants to recover one of the most outstanding tests that was made a few years ago, such as the winter triathlon of Jaca, which in its day was one of the references of the national calendar of this sport.

The objective is to try to get ahead and for this the pertinent authorizations have been requested to be able to do it again as previously in Jaca and Candanchú.

Since the International Triathlon Federation tried to make this sport an Olympic sport, doing the three segments of running, cycling and cross-country skiing were about snow, Mayencos turned to that format and now it is committed to continue maintaining it as it is done in Ansó

As pointed out by the head of the section, Michel Galay, the objective is to recover it and add again to Jaca to the tests that are held in Ansó and Reinosa.

The Pirineist Club Mayencos de Jaca is celebrating in this 2011 the twentieth anniversary of the birth of its triathlon section. The acts began with a tribute to José Luis Rodrigo. Mayencos is one of the most outstanding clubs in Spain in this sport, especially in the winter triathlon category, having played a very important role in its development.
