Mediterranean Triathlon 2020 opens registrations

Mediterranean 2020 Triathlon will open registrations next Thursday, January 9 at 17:00 p.m.

The opening of registrations will initially affect the Valencia test as well as the joint registration to the circuit, which maintains its 3 important venues: Valencia, Castellón and Alicante.

The city of Valencia will also be the official headquarters of the Triathlon World Cup and one of the last scoring tests for Tokyo 2020.

Valencia, will open the curtain

Valencia The calendar will open on May 1, 2 and 3 with 3 versions available: Supersprint (350m swimming, 10 km cycling and 2,5 km running race), Sprint (750m swimming, 20 km cycling and 5 km running race) and Olympic (1.500m swimming, 40km cycling and 10km running race) and the possibility of competing individually or in pairs.

After Valencia the test of Castellón which is extended as a novelty to two days, on July 4 and 5. The city of Alicante on September 26 and 27.

€ 1.900 in cash prizes

Mediterranean Triathlon will reward clubs with the largest number of participants in the circuit.

The largest club will receive € 1000 in cash, € 600 the second and € 300 the third.

Mediterranean Ranking Triathlon

Participants who dispute 3 triathlons in 3 different cities, either in single or combined mode, will score for the final classification of Mediterranean Triathlon.

The awards ceremony will take place at the last venue, Alicante Triathlon.

Valencia, home of the Triathlon World Cup

Valencia Triathlon will once again become the nerve center of the international triathlon on May 1, 2 and 3, when a Triathlon World Cup is played in the city.

The sport's elite will compete in the Olympic distance on Saturday, May 2 in the afternoon. In the middle of the Olympic year, Valencia becomes the main city, as this World Cup is one of the last qualifying events for Tokyo 2020.

Again the Valencian popular triathlon will share a weekend with the best athletes in the world, in a 100% Olympic atmosphere.

New corporate image

In its 4th edition, Mediterranean Triathlon renews image. The objective is the consolidation of the brand as a reference for triathlon in the Valencian Community.

The yellow, green and red will be from now on leading colors, representing each of the venues of the circuit: Valencia, Castellón and Alicante.
