Less than a month for the Riaza Triathlon

The next 22 in July will be the 8th edition of the Riaza Triathlon, a test that closes the Popular Du & Tri Cup circuit.

The town of Riaza in Segovia (just 1h30min of Madrid) will host the next July 22 a new edition of the Riaza triathlon, last circuit test Popular Du & TriCup, one of the most important triathlons in Castilla and León and also a proven test of the calendar national.

As it has been usual the last seasons, the Riaza triathlon consist of two tests, a triathlon of middle distance the "Half Triathlon of Riaza" composed of 1800 m of swimming, 72 km of cycling and 20 km of running and a shorter test, the "Shorts"Whose distances will be 900 meters of swimming, 40 km of cycling and 9 km of running on foot.

The triathlon is played in a unique place such as the Riofrío reservoir for swimming, together with a demanding cyclist circuit, with several rounds, which favors fans to see and cheer the triathletes several times, and ends with a race on foot through the streets of Riaza. This prohibited the Drafting in both modalities, both in the Half and in the Short.

The Riaza Triathlon is a pure triathlon, both in its version Half, as in the Short. The Half offers the possibility of playing a medium distance (in your case 1800-74-20) reserved only for 200 registered, so it is a test where drafting does not exist, there are no problems of massification and you can compete 100% individually .

As for the Short, the same philosophy of no drafting, competing in short distance (900-40-9) as it was done in the first ITU triathlons. For this test the limit is 500 enrolled.
