OTSO Challenge Salou Most Family-Friendly Race

The OTSO Challenge Salou won by popular vote among all franchise participants Challenge Family the award for the best destination for family travel
The mayor highlights the high level of Challenge Salou and appreciates the good work done by the franchise's race director, Juanan Fernández, as well as by the volunteers, the Club Salou Triatló Costa Daurada; participating tourist accommodation establishments; restaurants and PortAventura World.
"It is a source of pride to have this recognition because we position Salou even more as a sports tourist destination to come and do sports with the family," said the mayor.
For his part, Juanan Fernández, stated that "we are very happy because of all the racetracks in the world, a total of 36, Salou has won the award through popular vote."
It should be remembered that Salou won, two years ago, for the best fans and the best volunteers.
The announcement of the winners of the 2022 Challenge Family Awards took place in early December during the franchise's annual meeting of race directors held in Gran Canaria.
OTSO Challenge Salou, which was nominated for three categories, finally won the prize for the best race to enjoy with the family. It competed with countries like Germany and the Netherlands, among others.
The Challenge Family Awards recognize race directors for their contribution to the sport of triathlon and are decided by the votes of thousands of athletes from around the world.
