Paula Herrero is proclaimed champion of Spain of 10K

This Saturday, April 15, the "10K Huelva-Wihu Gate of Discovery“, an event that this 2023 has had the honor of hosting the Spanish Championship of 10K en route, where they would compete for medals both individually and by teams.

In the women's competition, the Asturian Paula Herrero, representative of Vicky Foods Athletics, has won the individual Spanish champion title, marking a time of 32 minutes and 8 seconds, thanks to an excellent race tactic supported at all times by his teammate Víctor Alonso.

This result has allowed him to break the championship record, and continues his impressive career in athletics, after breaking the national record over this distance in Laredo just a month ago.

The second place was for Isabel Barreiro (Bilbao Athletics), while the bronze went to Laura Luengo (Running Pinto Seoane-Pampin).

One more achievement for the athlete who lives in Madrid under the direction of Luis Miguel Martín Berlanas and Juan del Campo, also contributing to her Valladolid team the maximum number of points possible in the national team championship classification.

Jesús Ramos stands as Spanish 10K champion in the men's category

In the men's competition, the Spanish Jesus Ramos (CA Adidas) achieved victory, stopping the clock at 28'16” and beating, as in the women's event, the record of this championship.

The silver medal of the Spanish Championship went to Iago Red with 28'20” (HOKA), while the national bronze went to Juan Antonio 'Chiki' Pérez (CA Cárnicas Serrano) with 28'36”.
