Previous Dunkerke: Javier Gómez Noya "The important thing is to return to the sensations"

"I have not competed since November of 2015 and I already wanted very much. That I will do without pressure, trying of course to do the best I can for my French club, but without the personal result being the most important, but to return to the sensations ".

After the decision to discard the World Series in favor of an exclusive preparation for the Olympic Games, motivated also by physical discomfort and a personal problem at the beginning of the year, the debut of the reigning world champion and Olympic runner-up will finally take place.

It will be on 22 Sunday in May at 4 in the afternoon in the North of France, Dunkerke. There the prestigious French championship begins by clubs of 1ª Division: "I have not competed since November of 2015 and I already wanted very much. That I will do without pressure, trying of course to do the best I can for my French club, but without the personal result being the most important, but to return to the sensations".

This championship consists of five triathlons between May and September in Sprint distance (750m-20km-5km) and what counts in it is the classification by points. They compete the same 16 clubs with 5 triathletes each and it is the lowest sum of positions, not the time, which determines the classification.

Javier has been active for many years in the EC Sartrouville (city of the northern belt of Paris) and very much enjoy this type of racing in which the level is tremendous as many of the best of the World Series participate.

In 2015 Dunkerke was the 2 cita appointment of the circuit and it was disputed at the end of June, obtaining Javier the first individual position: "They are very fast triathlons from the swimming, in which a group of small head is usually formed by bike as it happened in 2015 when we arrived just three in the head and it is flown on foot. It will be a test to know my fitness after so long without competing.

The level of the championship is clear when you see that in the Sartrouville the Brownlee brothers and the other two Spaniards selected for Rio de Janeiro: Mario Mola y Fernando Alarza.

For this first meeting of the circuit Javier's teammates will be Jonathan Brownlee, the Norwegian Blummendfeldt (one of the world's revelations in 2016) and the French Belaubre and Dienmusch.

There are no previous results.
