This edition features 100 professional triathletes, among them world stars of Olympic gold carving Jan Frodeno, Frederik Van Lierde, Eneko Llanos, Camilla Pedersen or Lucy Gossage among others.

In the words of Agustí Pérez, director of the race: "We are facing a great organizational challenge with the premise of guaranteeing safety and offering an experience worthy of the IRONMAN proposal in a city dedicated to Triathlon, such as Calella."
