Roger Roca Duathlon Ibero-American Championship Champion

Roger Roca has been proclaimed Ibero-American Duathlon Champion, as well as winner of the World Series of the modality, this Sunday 30 September in Santiago de Cali. The Catalan, who came to the appointment as one of the favorites to win, has signed a splendid competition in the Colombian city.

 

Roca has set the pace from start to finish from the initials 10 km of running on foot near the El Ingeniero Park in the capital of Valle del Cauca. After them, 40 km cyclists through an essentially flat circuit integrated in turn by some very technical turns.

The Duatleta de Igualada has supported his triumph in two brilliant segments of running, in which he has marked the best partials of the competition. Roger has excelled especially in the third segment, where he has made the 5 km race in 14 minutes and 53 seconds.

The silver has fallen to the Mexican David Mendoza who crossed the finish line one minute and 29 seconds of the Catalan. The podium was completed by the Colombian Kevin Ruíz in third position.

Also, in the female elite category, the victory was for the Colombian Blanca Liliana Moreno. In second position has entered the Venezuelan Karla Urbina. While the Chilean Favia Diaz secured the bronze.
