We interviewed Saleta Castro prior to Ironman Lanzarote 70.3 "I am happy to come back here, Lanzarote has something special"

Next November 10, Lanzarote will host the first edition of Ironman 70.3, a Medium Distance event that will feature great international and national stars, among which is the young Saleta Castro.

With 10 years competing in the world of triathlon but only 2 years in Media Distancia and after her excellent performance last May in the Long Distance test in addition to her recent victory in Triathlon Elche and the Sailfish of Berga, this Galician triathlete will start as one of the favorites to the podium in addition to be excited about returning to Lanzarote and wanting to compete.

"The season has been a long one, but these last two months, from Berga's Sailfish, I have trained very well and with very good sensations, I am not at 100% but with very good sensations and what is more important with a lot of desire to compete, I am very happy to come back here, Lanzarote has something special "

"On the island you can find people from all over, very good atmosphere, what is typical of Lanzarote.  Sands Beach organize bike outings on the circuit and run with people from the island itself. Training groups are made and it is a good opportunity to meet people and exchange feelings "

"The truth is that I don't think about the podium, in these races where triathletes of the highest level like Bella Bayliss run, so I think about doing my best, enjoying the race and continuing to learn"

With IronMan Lanzarote 70.3 Saleta Castro will end this season full of successes in Media and Long Distance, which has consolidated her as one of the most important triathletes today in the national scene and that with only 25 years begins to have relevance to international level and that we will give a lot to talk about.
