The ITU Hall of Fame adds 4 triathletes

The ITU Hall of Fame honors the most important triathletes in history for their extraordinary achievements during the evolution of the ITU and the sport of Triathlon.

The athletes who were selected have met the criteria to enter the hall, as they have at least one title of World Champion, Olympic Games, Paralympic Games, World Cup Series and / or ITU World Rankings.

In addition to inductions to the Hall of Fame, the ITU awarded Sheila O'Kelly the Michel Gignoux Prize for his significant contributions to the technical area of ​​triathlon. O'Kelly is one of the biggest contributors to the sport of triathlon in Canada and around the world. His efforts in organizing events have greatly improved the world of triathlon both in Canada and around the world.

Claudia Beristain, from Mexico, received the Women's Committee Award for her contribution to the advancement of women in triathlon. Beristain has not only created opportunities for young athletes and promising, but has also made significant contributions to make way for women in the training of this discipline.
