Gómez Noya seeks to consolidate the leadership of the World Series in Chicago

On Sunday 29 is held in this northern city of the US the fifth quotation for the World Triathlon Series to which Javier Gómez Noya arrives as leader after knowing the first three won.

In the fourth in London (over the distance Sprint, half of the Olympic) could only be sixth and in Chicago (again over the usual distance) hopes to be back up. This would allow him to discard the result of London for the general classification given that 5 of the 7 citations are computed, more necessarily the final.

The pain in a foot that prevented the champion of the world to train to butt before the appointment of London seems that they have remitted and before traveling it has been able to make several good trainings of athletics which gives him hopes of returning to the path of success; "Everything was going perfect this season until those discomforts began. In London I competed with the pain and without having been able to train myself to stop after returning from Japan. Fortunately, it seems that it is over. They have treated me very well with physiotherapy and in the meantime to continue training I have used the antigravity Alter G tapestry of the Arthros clinic in Vigo ".

The Brownlee brothers will not be in Chicago, hence the a priori rivals for victory will be Mario Mola and New Zealander Richard Murray, the first two in London: "The ideal would be to get to the second transition in the first group and that they are not in it. The bike circuit is short and buzzer so it will go to whiplash, not at a uniform pace, and that will make it difficult to end up forming a large group in the lead ". It is the first time that Chicago has hosted a World Series event, although high-level triathlons have already been contested there for decades. The swim will be two laps of 750m in Lake Michigan. Cycling eight of 5 kilometers, with no less than 6 turns of 180º and 12 of 90º in each one. And on foot four of 2'5 also with many turns since it coincides with part of the cycling. The men's race is at 4PM local time, 11PM in Spain, and can be followed through the internet channel of the international federation  https://triathlonlive.tv/
