Tamara Gómez Spanish Triathlon Champion 2019

Today it has been held in the city of A Coruña on Spanish Triathlon Championship on Olympic distance where it has been possible to see several of the best Spanish triathletes competing for the national title.

The test that has been disputed on Olympic distance has been developed in the area of ​​the Marina de Parrote, cycling has been mostly in urban section and the race on foot in a circuit between the Maria Pita square and the Castle of San Anton.

Among the female trialtetas that will take the start are Xisca Tous, Tamara Gómez, Sara Pérez, Camila Alonso, Saleta Castro or Sara Bonilla among others

The test began with the 1.500 meters of swimming where Sara Pérez was the first to leave the water with more than 1 minute of advantage over a group where the rest of the favorites were.

In the cycling sector of 40 km Sara remained in the lead to reach T2 with almost 3 minutes ahead of the chasing group.

In the running race Sara paid the effort since she had to retire due to stomach discomfort. Tamara Gómez who was second at that time was placed as leader until in the final part of the race she was surpassed by New Zealand's Jenkins.

FinallyAnneke Jenkins won the test with a time of 2: 00: 52 followed by Tamara Gómez (2: 01: 30) that has been proclaimed Champion of Spain.

Xisca Tous (2: 02: 37) has been third and Camila Alonso (2: 02: 40) fourth, occupying the second and third position of the podium of the Championship.
