After fighting for long hours finally died yesterday at the 14: 40 hours as a result of the injuries suffered in the fall.

Carmen was a popular triathlete who when she fell, was placed in last position of the test, when on the descent to return to the Christians suffered the fall, According to eyewitnesses, the woman seemed very exhausted shortly before the accident occurred. The hardness of the competition (96 kilometers only by bicycle), the steep ramps of the ascent to the Teide and the strong heat that made on Saturday can be behind the enormous fatigue.

The causes of the fall are still unknown officially and it is not ruled out that the triathlete suffered a faint due to the enormous effort before falling with the bicycle.

From Triathlon news we give our deepest condolences to the relatives and friends of the two triathletes.
