Close to 500 triathletes in the first edition of the Ribadesella Festival Triathlon.

The test coincides with the first Asturian Championship of Olympic Distance and Distance.

Yesterday took place the press conference in the House of Culture of Ribadesella of the first edition of the Triathlon Festival Ribadesella with favorites to victory of distance Half; Fernando Barroso, Jose Almagro, Adrian Bouzán  and in the female category Beatriz Tenreiro. Arrate MinteguI who started with options for the podium in this event will participate in the sprint distance while recovering from an injury.

During the press conference, everyone highlighted the hardness of the cycling circuit, with a circuit breaks legs with very demanding ramps, even local trialteta Adrian Bouzán commented that it may be the thardest riathlon in the Iberian peninsula.

In sporting today the 3 tests are held Triathlon Festival, in the morning, it will be the turn of sprint triathlon (750 meters of swimming / 20 kilometers of bike race / 5.000 meters of running race) and the one of middle distance (1.900 meters of swimming / 90.1 kilometers of bicycle / 21.1 kilometers of running on foot); and in the afternoon the Olympic triathlon (1.500 meters of swimming / 40 kilometers on "bike" / 10 kilometers of running on foot).

Highlight the presence at the press conference of the former president of the Asturia Triathlon Federation Jose Luis Arroyo, who at the age of 69 will participate in the Olympic test.

As the name suggests, this triathlon will also be a musical Festival, since during the awards ceremony a DJ will play live music as well as enjoy catering with pizzas for all attendees.
