The Trialo of Gavà closes the ŠKODA Triathlon Series 2015

2.000 participants star in a multisport Sunday in the tenth and last appointment of the season

 

 

El Triatló de Gavà It is always one of the most anticipated tests and, once again, it did not disappoint. He ŠKODA Triathlon Series It closed a brilliant season bringing together about 2.000 participants in the Catalan town. On a sunny Sunday morning, the good atmosphere was the dominant tonic of a competition that showed why it is one of the classics of the calendar for many triathletes.

Enric Gussiney and Bárbara Rubio triumph in the Olympic

From the 8 in the morning and until past noon, the Olympic distance, sprint and supersprint were part of a triathlon designed to accommodate all types of athletes. In a very fast circuit, Enric Gussinyer took the victory in the Olympic in a time of 1: 52: 31. Behind, Rubén Barrio (1: 53: 41) and Óscar Ciruelos (1: 54: 37).

 In the women's category, the triumph went to Bárbara Rubio who, with a time of 2: 03: 35, beat Cristina Prat in more than 6 minutes (2: 09: 38), second. Third place for Isabel Gómez (2: 10: 08).

Victory of Chirico and Díaz in the Sprint

In sprint distance, the victory was decided by few seconds. Lucas Chirico was the one who climbed to the top of the podium when crossing the goal arch in 59: 40. Second, Aaron Pagés (1: 00: 01) and third, Enric Boldú (1: 00: 13).

Gemma Díaz was the fastest among the triathletes with a time of 1: 06: 36. After her, Tania Guerra (1: 12: 27), in second position, and Gemma Zapater (1: 14: 21), in third place.

The novelty: individual and couples Supersprint

The great novelty of this edition of the Triatló de Gavà has been the inclusion of the supersprint distance. Disputed individually and in pairs, Jordi García, in 41 minutes, and Andrea Victoria Santa Coloma, in 51: 36, were the champions. Along with them, the pair formed by Filippo Facci and Marc Canet, CET Distance, premiered triumph in the modality of couples.
