Cáceres in the National Triathlon Elite with the qualifier for the Spanish Championship

This triathlon gives 15 direct places for the Altafulla Elite Spanish Championship

The II Cáceres Triathlon Historic City, which will take place next June 7, opens its inscriptions as one of the four tests that will grant direct place for the Spanish Elite Triathlon Championships to be held in Altafulla (Tarragona) in the month of August.

The Triathlon test that will be held in Cáceres, has become by its layout, distances and services to the triathletes, as a benchmark at a national level, and is that the great work done in its first edition by the Cáceres Dolphins Swimming Club, together with the City Council and the Triathlon Federation, has been awarded by the National Federation, granting the organization the condition of qualification for the Spanish Elite Triathlon Championships that together with Madrid, Riveira and Banyoles will host the qualifiers national

This will mean for the test, that the best triathletes of the national circuit will come in search of one of the 15 direct places that will give the test for said Championships of Spain Elite, in addition to the succulent prizes that the organization offers to the different winners of the categories, distributing a total of 2500 € in cash prizes, more material that the sponsoring commercial houses will provide.

One of the attractions of the II Triathlon Cáceres Ciudad Histórico is its layout, performing the test in places as spectacular as the Guadiana reservoir, where 1500mtrs must swim to a circuit of 750mtrs therefore making 2 turns. Next, the National 521 will be the chosen stage to develop the 40km of cycling, making two rounds in the section that leads from the Rotunda of Sierra de Fuentes to the Rotunda of Santa Marta, to finally enter the City by the slope of the Cemetery . By bike you will head to the Plaza Mayor where you will start the race segment on foot, four laps through the Old Town and the Canovas Walk, until completing 10km that will end at a spectacular finish line located in the Plaza Mayor de Cáceres .
