Norma Bastidas starts a triathlon of 5.700 kilometers

(Notimex / EP) The Mexican-Canadian ultra-marathon runner Norma Bastidas started in Cancun (Mexico) her attempt to set a new world record as the world's largest triathlon by completing 5.700 kilometers to the city of Washington (United States) against human trafficking .

With the swimming test, Bastidas began his attempt in Cancun to set the new world record in triathlon. The distance was established with 153 kilometers of swimming, 4.410 kilometers of cycling and 1.110 kilometers running.

The work plan is to complete the distance in less than 45 days and that the final stretch, already in the United States, is to run up to 20 hours, for a calculation of travel and times, and be able to reach the White House in Washington, between 10 and the 11 in the morning.

Bastidas has three close collaborators who are in charge of security and logistics to record the documentary. "If they want to break my record, I'll leave them, I think of the day to day, that's the key, not thinking about the final distance, but completing the day, then we'll see," said the triathlete.
