Narbone Triathlon will have a Luxury Poster: Victor del Corral, Marcel Zamora, Clemente Alonso, Xavi LLobet, among others, confirm their attendance.

The best LONG DISTANCE triathletes will meet next September Extreme Man Narbone (France). In a circuit that runs over distance “113” and that has 1,9 km of swimming, 90 km in the cycling segment to finish with 21.1 km of running, we will be able to enjoy this great duel.

The French town of Narbone could not have a better poster for their first date, an event that, due to its natural landscapes and its excellent cycling route, is already giving much to talk about. The 2012 medium distance event, Extreme Man NARBONE, has already attracted the best triathletes in our country, which positions this event as an international benchmark.

Difficult are the predictions about who may be the winner of this first edition. A priori, the Catalan triathlete Marcel Zamora is presented as the great favorite endorsed by his experience and an excellent long-distance record. Marcel has managed to win the Ironman Nice for 5 consecutive years, as well as taking first place on the podium of one of the toughest triathlons in the world in 2009 and 2010: Embrunman.

Clemente Alonso had an excellent season in 2011, managing to win the title in benchmark events on the national long distance calendar, such as Zarautz, Challenge Calella and Extreme Man Menorca, the latter for two consecutive years. This year he has proven to be up to the task, taking first place on the podium at the prestigious Ironman in South Africa just a few weeks ago.

Xavi Llobet, a consolidated Olympic Triathlete, is currently taking the step to the Long Distance, where last year he achieved a creditable third place on the podium in the Extreme Man de Menorca 113. This year and with "homework well done" and then his debut Next June in the LD (Extreme Man by ARTROCTIVE Salou), Xavi will leave for Narbone (France) at the end of the season and not miss this unique event on the international calendar.

Victor del Corral is presented as the great promise. This triathlete specialized in "multisport" has gone from achieving the top positions on the podium in Duathlon and Cros Triathlon at an international level, to being a reference in the long distance after his excellent performance last weekend at the Ironman of Lanzarote, where he also After achieving the first position on the podium, he did so with the authentic class that characterizes him, getting 9 minutes ahead of the second classified.

While waiting for the confirmation of Belgian Frederick Van Lierde, winner of last year's IM Nice, other benchmark triathletes from the neighboring country have already confirmed their presence, such as the Frenchman François Chabaud and Romain Guillaume, recent winner of Tristar de Cannes, who they will be part of this great challenge.

With this poster, we can only say that EXTREME MAN Narbone will be “The 2012 event”, and what better way to end the season than competing “side by side” with the leading Long Distance triathletes?
