Vicente Hernández proclaims champion of the Ibero-American Triathlon

Vicente Hernández it has been proclaimed Champion of the Ibero-American Triathlon celebrated this Sunday 24 of February in Lima (Peru). The event brought together triathletes from different countries of Central and South America and Spain.

 

The competition has been played with a first swimming segment of 1.5 km. Then the triathletes have made 40 km of cycling on a flat circuit with some slopes and technical descents. Finally they have made four laps (10 km in total) for an essentially flat route.

The santacrucero has led the fight from beginning to end. When they reached the stage on foot, the Spaniard took the lead along with Mexican Irving Perez and Australian Anthony Mcsweeney and in the absence of a lap Vicente was relieved of the rest to head towards the finish line alone.

 

After Hernandez the Mexicans Irving Pérez y Crisanto Grajales the silver and bronze medals have been hung respectively in the Ibero-American Triathlon Championship.

For its part, in the female elite category, victory has been for Paola Díaz The Mexican has been accompanied on the podium by Argentina Romina Palace, second, and also Mexican Anahí León, in third position
