The Baracal-born triathlete Zuriñe Rodríguez will extend the season until this Sunday, the date on which she will compete in the Guatape International Triathlon, in Colombia, the last event of this year's ITU World Cup.

The competition will be played over a 1,5 kilometer swimming distance in a dam, with two 750 meter laps. Then the bicycle sector will be disputed in a circuit, with ascent to a hill, to which the participants will have to do four laps to complete 40 kilometers. Finally, the walking tour will be flat along the boardwalk and will have a total of 10 kilometers.

Rodríguez comes to this event after his success in Tongyeong (South Korea), where he climbed to the podium for the first time in a World Cup event and won the bronze medal. The woman from Baracal has been concentrated in Colombian lands all week to achieve a minimum acclimatization to the height, since the test is held at almost 2.000 meters above sea level.

His goal is to be as close to the podium as possible to score points and settle his qualification for the London Olympics next year.
