The best in the world in the Ironman European Championship

This Sunday 7 of July will bring together the best European athletes in  the Ironman European Championship which will be held in the city of Frankfurt (Germany).

At Ironman of Frankfurt more 3.000 triathletes will come from 34 countries that will fight to get one of the hundred places that this test grants to compete in the Hawaii World Championship .

The poster of favorites is more similar to that of Kona Ironman, since it will have the presence of the winner of last year Marino Vanhoenacker, Pete Jacobs the 2012 World Champion, Michael Raelert, Eneko Llanos, Ivan Raña y  Alejandro Santamaría, among others in addition to several Spanish triathletes who will participate in age groups.

In the edition of 2012, the triumph in Frankfurt was for the Belgian Marino Vanhoenacker with a time of 8 hours, 3 minutes and 31 seconds, which was accompanied on the podium by the German Sebastian Kienle (08: 09: 55) and Spanish Clemente Alonso (08: 14: 04)
