The Debut of Raña

Iván Raña will debut in the long distance at the Cozumel Ironman, after his recent victory in the Ironman 70.3 from Lanzarote, comes with the desire to make this distance as well as possible.

As favorites start Bockely Timo Bracht among the more than 60 professionals who will participate in this test, they start. Iván Tejero and Alejandro Santamaría will also attend the Spanish representation, who achieved third position in 2011.

Two thousand seven hundred triathletes from 75 countries will compete on November 25 Sunday of the 2012 in the fourth edition of the Ford Ironman Cozumel.

The United States is the country with the most representatives with 1003 competitors followed by Mexico with 525, Canada 159, Brazil 132 and Argentina 118. In the elite category there will be 96 athletes.

At 6: 40 am will start the elite category and at 7: 00 am athletes of age groups. All participants will swim 3.8 kilometers, ride a bicycle 180 kilometers and run 42.2 kilometers.

Each athlete will struggle to obtain one of the 50 positions that will be available to compete in the IRONMAN 2013 World Championship to be held in October of 2013 in Kona, Hawaii.

Monday 26 will take place at Playa Mia Grand Beach & Water Park starting at 6:40 am
