'Madrid Km 0', a spectacular Long Distance Triathlon to be held in the Community of Madrid

The next 27 in September will take place the Long Distance Triathlon 'Madrid Km 0', the first sports event of its kind with an end in the heart of the city.

 

 

This great sporting challenge, whose objective is to consolidate itself as one of the most important 10 events in the world, will have its start at the Pantano de Riosequillo, in Buitrago del Lozoya, and will be the first to finish at the 0 Km in the capital.

 

Our goal is to turn Madrid into the center of the world triathlon, thus contributing to the development of sport in the city and in our country, "says Felipe Gu0érrez, Technical Director of the event.

 

'Madrid Km 0' will have its exit at the Pantano de Riosequillo (Area recrea0va of Canal de Isabel II), in Buitrago del Lozoya. This triathlon will pass through wonderful enclaves of the Sierra Madrileña and, as a novelty, will end at the 0 Km of the Puerta del Sol in Madrid. The distances of the three segments that will make up 'Madrid Km 0' are: - Swimming: 3.800 meters in the Pantano de Riosequillo (Buitrago de Lozoya). - Bicycle: 180 kilometers, leaving at the Pools of the Canal de Isabel II (Pantano de Riosequillo, Buitrago de Lozoya) and arrival at Matadero. - Race on foot: 42 kilometers and 195 meters, with exit at Matadero and finish at Puerta del Sol.

The center of Madrid and its 0 Km will not only be the center of Spain, but in September they will become the center of the planet's triathlon.
