Declarations:

Nicolas Benoit: "At the beginning I had a hard time picking up the pace, because they came out very strong. But on the bike, little by little, I was reaching them and in the end it all ended very well for me ". Emilio had won him at 2012 in his home and now he returned the coin: "He won me in Nancy and he had a thorn in his side". "I think it's been one of the most beautiful duathlons in my life, I've never seen so much public both downtown and in the stadium."

Emilio Martín: "I have found myself very comfortable running. By bike it is an uncomfortable circuit, going up with the wind in the face, which has not allowed me to have the sensations that I expected. The penalty was the last 5.000. I was very comfortable, but the flatus appeared and I had to go with the calculator to secure the medal. I like to risk more, but risk would have meant to stay out of the podium. "

"Third consecutive year on the podium, I was first, second and third, so next year I will not come because I will be fourth," he joked.

David Castro: "The circuit has been pretty tough ... with the four climbs, one per lap, the truth is that that left you quite a lot."

He thanked the support of the public saying that "there was not a moment when he was not cheering. Running at home, the truth that in a World Cup is nothing comparable to running somewhere else ... and I have not felt only at any time.
