Record of Spaniards in the Santa Ironman Club 70.3 Lanzarote

One of the great joys that we will see when leaving the Club la Santa IRONMAN 70.3 Lanzarote is the participation of four Spanish women in the PRO category: Aída Valiño, Dolça Ollé, Marina Damlaimcourt and Saleta Castro, which represents a record of participation of Spanish PROs in an IM 70.3

We have been consulted the rankings and rankings of KPR IM 70.3, and this 2015 can be said that there has been a great step of participation of our triathletes.

In 2013 only appears in the world ranking Arrate Mintegui thanks to his 20ª place in the 70.3 of Puerto Rico. In 2014 there were no Spanish PROs in any 70.3 competition but in this 2015 for everything it was different. He started the way Judith Corachán with his participation in the 70.3 of Aix en Provence, he subsequently repeated participation in the 70.3 in Barcelona together with Anna Rovira.

In the Championship. of Europe of Wiesbaden Anna Noguera He took the start but had to retire due to injury. (Many cheers Anna, we hope to see you again soon!) And finally Judith Corachán got a historic third place at the IM 70.3 in Budapest a few weeks ago.

Personally, it makes me very happy and happy to see how little by little the best Spanish triathletes of MD rub shoulders with the best in the world of distance and I hope that this IM 70.3 from Lanzarote will be the take-off for an 2016 with even more participation.

We have contacted Aída, Dolça, Marina and Saleta to tell us their impressions prior to the big appointment next Saturday at Club la Santa:

Aída Valiño: "This is going to be my first 70.3 of the IM circuit and one of the MD competitions with the highest level I am going to compete in. The truth is that I am very excited to be in LZ one of the reference places in the world triathlon. with much desire and enthusiasm ... We will give everything "  (Photo Aida: Pálmaces triathlon organization)

Aida Valiño

Dolça Ollé: "During the months of July and August I take advantage of the day to train, since with the good weather and the sunny hours I feel like more. This summer with my coach we have done cycles of 4 weeks of loading and a download to assimilate the good training.

These last days I am finding myself very well in the three disciplines and participating in this triathlon gives me a lot of motivation. I want to finish the race with the feeling of having enjoyed all the time. "

Dolça Ollé

Saleta Castro: My preparation for this 70.3 has been good, I have not had any problems at the time of training and regardless of the result that comes out, I come at a good time but not at 100%. I feel pretty good (in terms of feelings).

My workouts have been good and I am looking forward to competing again here in Lanzarote as I consider it my second home.

Saleta Castro

Marina Damlaimcourt: "After competing in Austria I have been dragging my shoulder for a few weeks and I have not been able to prepare the competition for 100%, but even so I could not miss this 70.3 that makes me especially excited about the level of the competitors, the organizer's guarantees Club La Santa and also for being an 70.3 where we will be four Spanish for the first time "
