Singapore T100 Triathlon: Preview, Schedules and where to watch it live
This weekend Singapore will host the second event of the T100 Triathlon World Tour, where some of the best triathletes in the world will be.
The circuit in Singapore is characterized by extreme weather conditions, with high levels of humidity and heat which will surely mark the race.
The test is held over distances of 2 kilometers of swimming, 80 km of cycling and 18 kilometers of running on a flat but demanding route.
Female category
The women's category is headed by 100km “magician”, the Australian Ashleigh Gentle, who begins his season after not getting off the podium in any race since May 2022.
Gentle, the 2023 PTO Tour Asian Open champion, is the most successful athlete at this distance with three victories to her name.
This Saturday, she will face triathletes like the British India Lee y Lucy Charles-Barclay, who arrive after a spectacular first and second place in Miami.
Other names to take into account will be Chelsea Sodaro, recent IRONMAN New Zealand champion, Ellie Salthouse, winner of IRONMAN 70.3 Geelong, Imogen Simmonds, Lucy byram o lucy buckingham
Male category
In the men's race, Magnus ditlev, leader of the series and the highest ranked athlete in the PTO World Rankings, is the main favorite, but is a doubt for the race. Furthermore, the Spanish Javier Gómez Noya will not participate in the test either.
Other triathletes that will have to be taken into account for victory will be Sam long y Jason West, where Long arrives at the event after three consecutive podiums in Pucón, Miami and at IRONMAN 70.3 Oceanside.
Pieter Heemeryck, Sam Laidlow o Alistair Brownlee, are other great favorites.
Schedule and where to see it live
The women's race will be held on Saturday, April 13 at 14:15 p.m. local time in Singapore, at 08:15 a.m. in Spain.
The men will compete on Sunday, April 14 at 15:15 p.m. local time (09:15 a.m. in Spain).
Both races can be followed live through the T100 website from Eurosport or Discovery+ in Europe, and through official broadcasts available outside Europe.
Awards
With a total of $250,000 in prizes, the winners of each category receive $25,000 and 35 points
