Ironman will have a test only for girls and another for boys in professional category

The franchise is testing this new format in America and Europe

Ironman has announced the adjustment in its structure of competitions for professionals in two long distance tests in the European continent next summer, Ironman Kalmar (Sweden) the 20 of August and Ironman Copenhagen on August 21. Only girls will compete in Kalmar while boys will compete in Copenhagen.

This change occurs after some tests in the American continent also adopted this change.

The objective of this change is to reinforce the professional tests giving more prominence to the female and male triathletes individually. The prize for both tests will remain the same, granting 50.000 $.
