Mario Mola's comeback to win the Montreal World Series

The Mallorcan climbs 1 minute in the 10 kilometers of running race and gets the fourth victory of this season.
Today the penultimate date of the Triathlon World Series was held where Mario Mola arrives as world leader to the Grand Final.
After the women's event, it was disputed yesterday where Vicky Holland got his third win this year, Katie Zaferes remains world leader but only 34 points ahead of Holland
This afternoon we learned that Fernando Alarzawould not participate in the test due to a bronchitis that has not remitted and finally has not let him compete leaving the "Triarmada" with 4 participants: Mario Mola , Vicente Hernández, Antonio Serrat y Cesc Godoy.

The test began at 19: 30 (Spanish time) in Olympic format (1,5-40-10), distance where this year Mario Mola has achieved a victory in Yokohama and a second place in Leeds. Mola has also achieved two consecutive victories over distance sprint in Edmonton y Hamburg. As for the favorites, the absence of Vicent Luis, second in the ranking Jonathan Brownlee, Richard Varga among others who has chosen to reserve for the Grand Final
The first to get out of the water was the South African Henri Schoeman, where he had to stop at some point during the 1,5 km to wait for the group since he was not interested in going out alone on the bike. Seth Rider left 4 seconds and the group was 11 seconds later with Cesc Godoy fourth, Antonio Serrat 15th to 22nd, Vicente Hernández 19th to 26th and Mario Mola 20th to 27th.

In the 40 kilometers of cycling, on a wet circuit, Schoeman and Seth Rider left alone, although they were neutralized in the passage through the first lap with all the favorites.

During the 8 laps of the circuit, a quartet formed by the Norwegians was formed Kristian Blummenfelt , Casper Stornes and by the Canadian Charles Paquet and the Danish Andreas Schilling who arrived as leaders in T2 with 1 minute of advantage over the group of favorites. Vicente Hernández had to retire as he punctured on both wheels. The rest of the Spaniards got off to run with the chasing group.
In the 10 kilometers of the running sector, we saw how the Norwegian Kristian Blummenfelt went ahead fighting to get a win in a WTS.
In the group behind Mario Mola, Richard Murray and Jacob Birtwhistle left in search of the podium positions. Little by little Mario was moving away from his pursuers and cutting time on the Norwegian, going to 40 seconds in the 1st lap, to 20 in the second step and only 9 in the third.
Finally Mario Mola it reached him with a lack of 1 kilometer to the end, surpassing him and leaving alone to achieve the final victory in a time of 1: 47: 35. Kristian Blummenfelt (01: 48: 02) was second while Jacob Birtwhistle (1: 48: 28) was third.

As for the rest of Spanish Antonio Serrat has been tenth while Cesc Godoy 32o. Vicente Hernández he had to retire in the bicycle sector due to a puncture.
Mario Mola will be the leader in the Grand Final
With this victory Mario Mola has achieved his fourth win at #WTS2018 and is planted in the Grand Final of 16 September as the undisputed leader and would be worth it with an 14 placed in this test to proclaim for the third consecutive year Triathlon World Champion
