Ironman 70.3 Cascais with Spanish flavor, record of Spaniards in a triathlon in Portugal

Last season the "Sold Out" poster was hung and this year expectations are better in a benchmark test of the Luso triathlon.

Last year the Ironman franchise was disembarked in Portugal with the celebration of the first edition of the Ironman 70.3 de Cascais, a competition that was a resounding success of participation and that in this year 2018 in its second is on track to overcome all the successes of last season.

El Ironman 70.3 Cascais it is considered the most international triathlon of Portugal, proof of this is that last year it was represented by 65 countries, being Portugal and Spain the states with the highest number of triathletes.

All this success of both national and international participation was news in Portugal, with the organization of the Ironman 70.3 Cascais to receive a congratulatory message from the very same President for the Republic Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, recognizing the Ironman 70.3 Cascais and triathlon as a sports reference for Portugal

In his message, President Marcelo Rebelo de Souse greeted both the Ironman 70.3 and the city of Cascais affirming that an event of this dimension and prestige was a source of pride for all the Portuguese and for the inhabitants of Cascais in particular. Finally he said goodbye wishing the best to the test and the 2.200 triathletes from 65 participating countries.
