More than 1.500 triathletes star in the premiere of PortAventura Challenge Salou

Along with the medium distance triathlon also has: Short Challenge, Aqua Challenge, Junior Challenge and Breakfast Run.

 

 

This Friday, 29 of May, the curtain raises the inaugural edition of PortAventura Challenge Salou who will have his star test on Sunday, the Half. With more 1.500, PortAventura Challenge Salou opens as the only event of the prestigious Challenge Family on the peninsula. 

His intention, to become a reference and offer an intense weekend of sport. For this, along with the medium distance triathlon also has: Short Challenge, Aqua Challenge, Junior Challenge and Breakfast Run.

Breakfast Run, a charity race

On Saturday morning, at the 10 h, PortAventura Challenge Salou will celebrate the Breakfast Run on the seafront. A race of 5 kilometers, with a festive atmosphere, whose full collection goes to the Oncologist Association Dr. Amadeu Pelegrí.

An international test

With an 20% of participants from outside of Spain, PortAventura Half Challenge Salou will bring together popular and professional triathletes to play a half-distance triathlon completely flat, safe and designed to fly.

Among the favorites to victory highlights Timo Bracht. The German bets by Salou in the beginning of his season to be gaining whole ahead of Challenge Roth, where, after achieving in 2014 one of the most important victories of his career, he will seek this month to revalidate his title.

Next to him, triathletes of the size of the Australian Joe Gambles, fourth in Challenge Roth 2014, third in Hawaii 2013 and that treasures endless victories in the middle distance; the scottish Ritchie Nicholls, whose triumphs include Alpe d'Huez or the European Middle Distance Championship; or Antony Costes, runner-up of the French Long Distance Championship. The Spanish trick will be Miguel Ángel Fidalgo, one of the revelations of 2014 in long distance, who arrives after a second place in Arenales.
