More of 10.000 triathletes compete this Saturday in Spain

This next Saturday 12 of May will surely be "the day of triathlon" 2018 in Spain, with more than 10.000 triathletes competing in our country.

Four exceed the thousand enrolled, highlighting the IM 70.3 from Mallorca with 3.800 participants is the triathlon with greater participation of Spain of all those that are held in a single race, without having multiple distances. In addition, the event in l'Alcudia is the most important event Ironman 70.3 with the highest participation in the world.

Here we break down the data of registered in the main competitions (*):

  • IM 70.3 Mallorca 3.800 enrolled
  • Santander Triathlon Series Valencia 1.800 entered
  • Half Pamplona 1.000 enrolled
  • International Triathlon Fuente Álamo 1.000 inscribed
  • XXVII Triatló Sprint Sant Feliu de Guixols 220 registered
  • Triathlon Sprint Doñana 200 inscribed
  • XXIX Triathlon Concello de Oleiros 200 inscribed
  • Juarros triathlon of Voltoya 200 entered

In total, almost 8.500 enrolled. To all of them we have to add several school triathlons that are on that Saturday in Spain, as well as duathlon and triathlon crossover.

With the sum of all of them, the 10.000 athletes competing this Saturday are overtaken.

In addition to all these triathletes, it should be noted that the start of the "Super Saturday" starts at the WTS in Yokohama, Mario Mola, Fernando Alarza, Antonio Serrat, Anna Godoy, Camila Alonso, Inés Santiago, y Cecilia Santamaría and it will close with the participation of a score of Spaniards in the IM 70.3 of Santa Rosa in the USA.
