More than 1.400 athletes will compete in the 140.6INN International Triathlon of Platja D'Aro this weekend
The Spanish Long Distance Triathlon and Aquabike Championships will be held this May 13 with prominent international participants.
This year will also be the premiere of the Spanish Gravel Triathlon Championship andn two distances, Olympic and medium distance. In addition, the second appointment of Pho3nix Kids Triathlon Series by Javier Gómez Noya, both on May 14.
Favorites
The favorites for the 140.6INN International Triathlon of Platja D'Aro include Víctor Arroyo, champion of Spain in 2022, who will be on the starting line along with other prominent national and international contenders.
Among them are Timothy Van Houtem, LD Triathlon European Champion in 2018, Laura Gomez, Patricia Bueno, Lucia Blanco y Alba Reguillo, who make up some of the most prominent names in the national female elite list.
Drafting will be controlled with RaceRanger
The test will implement for the first time in Europe the RaceRanger draft control system and other technological innovations at the Platja D'Aro finish line.

On Sunday, tests will be held for children from 10 to 13 years old in the juvenile and child categories, promoting healthy sports and an introduction to triathlon.
