19 Spanish championships will be played at the Water Games

The Region of Murcia today welcomed the first water games that are going to be disputed in our country, and they will from September 22 to October 2.

A total of 19 official Spanish Championships in which more than four thousand athletes, among which will be the Spanish Triathlon Championship en Sprint distance, in an event organized by ADESP, the Spanish Sports Association and ten Spanish Sports Federations, with the collaboration of the regional government.

19 competitions from 10 federations.

The competitions that will take place are the following:

• Open waters (Swimming)
• Sprint Triathlon (triathlon)
• Catamaran Class, Inclusive Sailing and Radio Control (Vela)
• Crossing K4 and C4, and Dragon Boat (Canoeing)
• Wakeboarding (Water skiing)
• Flyski, Rallyjet, Offshore and Circuit (motor boating)
• SUP Long Distance and SUP Speed ​​(Surfing)
• Sea Rowing (Remo )
• Sea Coast Duo and Kayak Fishing (Fishing and Casting)
• Nafosub and Cevisub (underwater activities)

6 venues

The venues, which have been working for several months to prepare the event, are Cartagena, Santiago de la ribera, Cabo de palos, La Manga, Lo Pagan y Los Alázares.

The Minister of the Presidency, Tourism, Culture and Sports of the Region of Murcia, Marcos Ortuño, highlighted during the presentation that “it is the first time that this event is held in Spain and the Region has been chosen because we have the ideal place to practice these sports activities, due to the perfect weather conditions, and its good sports and tourist infrastructures.

First multisport event to display the Green Sport Flag,

This will also be the first multisport event to feature the flag Green Sport Flag, thanks to the commitment that all the institutions involved have acquired, and the ten participating Spanish Federations that have signed an environmental responsibility document to protect the environment in which the tests will be held.
