A Coruña hosts this weekend the Spanish Triathlon Championships for Clubs and Mixed Relays and the Paratriathlon World Cup

The Marina Parrote area in A Coruña will host on June 19 and 20 the competitions of Spanish Triathlon Championships for Clubs and Mixed Relays and Paratriathlon World Cup which will close the pre-Olympic cycle for the Paralympic Games in Tokyo.

The Paratriathon World Cup A Coruña 2021, the Sunday 20 June It will be the last appointment of the pre-Olympic cycle for the Paralympic Games in Tokyo, confirming places and awarding last important points, or as a test for athletes with the classification already achieved.

There will be almost a hundred paratriathletes on start lists, coming from 29 different countries: Austria, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Spain, Finland, France, Great Britain, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Poland, Netherlands, Mexico, Portugal, Republic South African, Russia, Slovakia, Tunisia, Ukraine and the United States.

They will compete on Sunday, June 20 from 11:15 a.m., on circuits practically equal to those of the national Triathlon championships by Clubs on Saturday.

The routes will have 750 meters of swimming in the bay of the port of A Coruña, 20 kilometers of cycling in an urban route bordering the port, and a final 5-kilometer race along the promenade and the Marina Parrote area.

National competitions

The Spanish Triathlon Club Championships are part of the Iberdrola Triathlon League and the Men's Triathlon League, which are made up of seven days of competition on the classifications of the different Spanish championships.

The Leagues are structured by categories with promotions and relegation: First and Second Division, with a Third Division in which clubs compete to ascend to the League and enter the Second Division. City of Lugo Fluvial leads the First Division both female and male.

The Spanish Triathlon Club Championship is disputed by categories, with a line-up of a minimum of eight and a maximum of ten triathletes per club in each outing in the First and Second Division, and six athletes in the Third Division.

The competition distances will be 750 meters of swimming, 21 kms. cycling, and a 6-kilometer run on the Coruña promenade.

Saturday 19 June

On Saturday, June 19, the Spanish Triathlon Championship by Clubs, with the participation of the women's and men's First and Second Division clubs, and those registered in the Third Division with a view to promotion to the Iberdrola League or the Men's Triathlon League.

The women's events will be held first, with departures at 16:17 p.m. for the Third Division competition, 18:XNUMX p.m. for the Second Division, and XNUMX h. for the First Division.

Then the men's races will be held, starting from the First Division at 19:20 p.m., at 21:XNUMX p.m. for the Second Division, and at XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. the Third Division.

Dominican 20 June

The 20 Sunday in June will take place on Spanish Triathlon Championship by Mixed Relay, and the national Triathlon for Mixed Talent Relay, starting at 8:45 a.m.
