Alex Yee, aiming for Paris, but is already setting his sights on the PTO tests

In the world of triathlon, few names resonate as strongly as that of Alex Yee.

After his outstanding performance in the Paris Test Event, where he assured his participation in the next Olympics, Yee is one of the best triathletes today, and is now beginning to consider exploring new horizons, such as the Professional Triathletes Organization (PTO) events and, possibly, IRONMAN in the future.

A 2023 with ups and downs

In August, in the French capital, Yee demonstrated his quality in the Test Event.

With a solid swim, a good bike segment, and a run that distanced him from his rivals, his victory was, in his own words, “quite magical".

2023 has been a year of contrasts for Yee. Despite victories in Abu Dhabi y Cagliari, and in the London Super League, did not have his day in the Grand Final of the World Triathlon Series (WTCS) in Pontevedra.

A difficult start in swimming prevented him from fighting for the title, which finally went to Dorian Coninx.

Looking to the future

In an interview on the web TRI247 Yee commented that His main focus remains Paris, Yee shows a growing interest in longer distances.

The PTO, with its middle distance events, seems to be an ideal terrain for his future ambitions.

Although it is not yet in his immediate plans, the possibility of exploring these new distances is an exciting prospect for the British athlete.

And although IRONMAN could wait a few more years, Yee does not rule out changing his mind and taking on this challenge in the future.

There are no previous results.
