Alicia García and Jorge Garcia reelected in the European Triathlon Federation

Alicia will be treasurer and Jorge García will be a member of the Technical Committee. He is also the only European also a member of the World Triathlon

At the Annual General Assembly of the European Triathlon Federation held in a virtual session yesterday, the new positions of president, treasurer, vice president, members of the Board, the Development Committee, the Technical Committee and members of the Audit Committee have been appointed.

The Spanish triathlon has been represented by Alicia García, general secretary of the FETRI, and the director of competitions Jorge Garcia.

In the voting Alicia has achieved her re-election as Treasurer within the candidacy of Renato Bertrandi, the new president of the European Triathlon Federation (ETU) for the next four years.

For its part, Jorge García, will repeat for the third consecutive time, as a member of the ETU Technical Committee.

Jorge is the only European present simultaneously in the Technical Committee of the ETU and the International Triathlon Federation (World Triathlon).

During the development of the General Assembly, a resolution was also approved for the Swim-Run to be recognized as a discipline, and the resolution will be raised to the International Triathlon Federation.
