According to Andrew Messick, CEO of Ironman, the initiative seeks to rekindle the competitive spirit among professional triathletes, offering a renewed structure and attractive economic incentives.

The essence of HOMBRE DE HIERRO Pro-Series It focuses on a set of 18 pre-existing events, spanning iron and 70.3 distance competitions.

Particularly, on May 11, the island of Mallorca in Spain will host the 70.3 event, offering athletes a combination of culture, nature and sporting challenge.

Mallorca is known for its challenging cycling routes and crystal-clear waters, making it a favorite destination for triathletes and their families.

The series also seeks to maintain a balance, allowing athletes to participate in other events and earn money, however, with a renewed focus on incentivizing more regular participation in Ironman events.

Spain will have 2 headquarters

Spain consolidates itself as a favorite setting in the world of triathlon by being chosen to host two crucial events of the Ironman Pro Series 2024.

On May 11, the island of Mallorca will dress up to welcome the athletes at the event 70.3 Mallorca.

Later, on July 16, the action moves to the heart of the Basque Country, where the city of Vitoria-Gasteiz will become the epicenter of the triathlon with the celebration of the Ironman Vitoria-Gasteiz.

Without a doubt, the inclusion of these two cities in the Ironman Pro Series 2024 calendar reaffirms Spain's position on the international triathlon map.
