cam wurf, the professional cyclist for the INEOS team who also competes in triathlon, has set a new personal record at IRONMAN Florida.

Cam, known for its quality in the cycling segment, has once again demonstrated its talent.

6 IRONMAN in one year

Crossing the finish line in seventh place in Florida, Wurf not only completed his sixth Ironman of the year, but also surpassed his marathon personal best, which he had set at IRONMAN Italy in 2019 with a time of 2:45:09 .

In Florida, he managed to improve that mark, recording a time of 2:44:02.

Best mark in marathon

Wurf beat his best by more than 12 minutes and broke the 2:50 barrier for the third time in his career, a notable achievement for the 40-year-old athlete.

Wurf's preparation for this event was meticulous, with a particular focus on improving his marathon performance.

In the words of the athlete himself: “I'm a 2:44 guy. It's been four years for me to improve my marathon PB.

Although I didn't do anything exceptionally well here at Ironman Florida, after a couple of weeks focused on working this discipline in training, I'm proud to have my runner's legs back.".
