Los Alcázares will host this weekend the Spanish Triathlon Championship

Close to 800 triathletes will participate in this test

 

This weekend the locality of the Alcázares will host, the 7 and 8 of September, the Championship of Spain in Olympic distance where about 800 registrants will participate in the Elite, Sub23, Paratriathlon and Age Groups categories.

 

 

Last year they won in Pontevedra Fernando Alarza who will not participate in this edition and Ainhoa ​​Murua who will try to validate his title.

 

On Saturday 7 in September, at 10.00 in the morning, the Open test, in which both federated and non-federated athletes can participate. The route will be half, since it runs in sprint distance and where the athletes will have to complete 750 meters of swimming, 20 kilometers of cycling and finish the test with 5 kilometers on foot. The appointment for paratriatetas, also in sprint distance, it will be at 12:00 on the same Saturday.

 

In the afternoon the competitions of age groups, which will start at 16.00 hours. Afterwards and once all the tests have been completed, at 19.45 hours, the prizes will be awarded.

 

The 8 Sunday in September celebrates the Elite and Sub23 tests. With an Olympic distance course consisting of 1,5 kilometers of swimming, 40 cycling and 10 race, the best athletes in Spain will have the opportunity to fight for the title of national champion.

 

At nine o'clock in the morning the start of the women's event is scheduled, Ainhoa ​​Murua - winner of the 2012 edition-  Carolina Rotier, Aida Valiño y Helena Herreno they leave as favorites. 

 

At the 12.00, they will start the male category where Rubén Ruzafa, recent 3º placed in the Championship of Spain of Average Distance, Ramón Hejeda, Oscar Vicente, Jesús Gomar among others the first squares will be disputed
