Spain does not get a good performance in the Mixed Relay Triathlon World Championship

After the celebration last Saturday in Hamburg of the sixth stage of the ITU Triathlon World SeriesOn Sunday the German town has welcomed the World Relay Triathlon Championship, where Germans they have got the gold, followed by New Zealand y U.S. with the bronze Spain I finish in 15º position.

 

 

Spain has presented a team composed of Ainhoa ​​Murua, Javier Gómez Noya, Carolina Routier y Mario Mola. Each member has made 300 m of swimming, followed by 6.6 km cyclists, to finish with 1.6 km of running race on an urban circuit around the city of Hamburg.

 

The British team has led the competition and has been expanding its advantage during a good part of the race, getting close to 20 seconds ahead of the test. However, in the last few meters of the cycling segment of the third relay, the British Non Stanford suffered a fall that left out of competition the British team.

 

 

From there, the fight for the podium has been fought between the Germans, Americans, New Zealanders, Australians and the French. The final victory has been for the local team formed by Anja Knapp, Jan Frodeno, Anne Haug and Franz Loeschke. Accompanying the Germans on the podium, the New Zealanders have achieved silver, while the Americans have climbed to the third drawer. For their part, the Spaniards, who did not have a good day in the Teutonic town, have obtained the 15º place in the final classification.
