Without snow in the Spanish Winter Triathlon Championship. It moves to the Duathlon format.

El Spanish Winter Triathlon Championship, which was scheduled to be held in its usual format at the Linza Nordic Space next 18 of February, has had to change due to the amount of snow in the area.

After evaluating the current situation in Linza, where the snow is insufficient For the development of the winter triathlon, the Spanish Triathlon Federation, together with the Aragonese Triathlon Federation and the Mayencos Pyrenees Club, has decided adapt the event to the duathlon format, as indicated last week.

The recent snowfalls were less than expected and, with no forecasts for improvement in the short term, the organization has opted for an alternative plan.

The new competition format will maintain the initial 7.5 kilometer running race through the streets of Ansó, followed by a 20 kilometer mountain biking segment that will connect Ansó with Linza.

The third segment, also a running race, will be 7.5 kilometers around Linza.

Despite the lack of snow, which currently reaches eight centimeters, competitors are expected to encounter snowy sections during the race.

The organization will facilitate the necessary logistics so that athletes can deliver the appropriate footwear during the bib collection, ensuring their transportation to Linza for the final segment.
