Supertri E World Triathlon Championships: Preview, schedules and where to see it live

This Saturday, April 13, some of the best triathletes in the world will meet in London to compete for two world titles in the Supertri E World Triathlon Championships powered by Zwift.

This unique event, held for the first time on a single day, will feature up to 60 athletes.

An exciting and demanding format

The races will be held in format E World Triathlon, which consists of three stages: swimming, cycling and running.

The main difference with the traditional triathlon is that the transitions between the stages are very short, which requires athletes to have a great capacity for explosiveness.

Triathletes will have to overcome two grueling stages (200m swim, 4km bike and 1km run) with a short rest between them, and in the second stage a chase-style start will be implemented.

The structure of the competition will consist of knockout series in the morning where only the top 10 men and the top 10 women will qualify for the grand final.

The final, with the full format of the Supertri E World Triathlon Championship (Swimming – Cycling – Running // Running – Cycling – Swimming // Swimming – Cycling – Running) will culminate with a pursuit start in the third stage.

Favorites

In the women's category, attention will be focused on the duel between the two favorites, Beth Potter y Cassandre Beaugrand.

Both athletes already know what it is to win in this format, and both arrive in London in great shape.

We will also have to take into account other triathletes such as Katie Zaferes, Vicky Holland and the promising young Fanni Szalai.

In the men's category, the main favorite is the under-23 world champion, simon henseleit. But we will have to take into account Chase mcqueen o Hugo Milner.
