It's official, Challenge Barcelona becomes IRONMAN Barcelona

The 70.3 test offers 25 seats in age groups for this year's IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship.

In the morning of yesterday the test was officially presented in the city of Calella IRONMAN Barcelona-Calella. The World Triathlon Corporation (WTC) Company has bought Tritlon Sport, organizer of the event in recent years, for which it is now managing everything related to the IRONMAN-Barcelona brand.

The dates initially set in the calendar for Challenge are kept, that is, the IRONMAN 70.3 will be held next 18 in May and the IRONMAN Barcelona in October 5.

IRONMAN Barcelona will have € 50.000 in prizes and 50 places for age groups for the IRONMAN World Championship 2015 in Hawaii.

The IRONMAN 70.3 It will have € 25.000 in prizes and offers age groups 25 places for this year's IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Mont-Tremblant, Quebec, Canada.

IRONMAN will have 7 tests in Spain, IRONMAN Barcelona and IRONMAN 70.3 Barcelona. Also in the future a Long distance triathlon take place in  Peguera, Mallorca., IRONMAN Lanzarote, IRONMAN 70.3 Lanzarote, IRONMAN Mallorca y  Thomas Cook IRONMAN 70.3 Mallorca.
