Ecotrimad creates the triathlon water circuit
With the collaboration and support of Club Deportivo Canal, the Community of Madrid is created a triathlon circuit in the three nautical areas of Canal de Isabel II: Riosequillo, The Atazar y Valmayor. The tests will include triathlons for Federated, Popular and for categories lower; under the name of Ecotrikids.
The organizers of the renowned medium distance triathlon "Ecotrimad" and the Sports Club Canal launch this initiative whose objective is the promotion of triathlon and sports in the Community of Madrid, as well as publicize the nautical areas and the vocation of service Canal de Isabel II Management to all locals.
The first competition will be held at the 9 in June in the recreational area of Riosequillo in Buitrago de Lozoya, will include a federated sprint triathlon (Community of Madrid Championship), a popular triathlon and a school triathlon (Ecotrikids).
The 7 in July will hold the second circuit test in the El Atazar reservoir, in Cervera de Buitrago. In this second competition the bicycle section will be made with mountain bike, so it has been requested that the federated test be the Madrid Triathlon Championships, also, on this same date will be a popular test and an Ecotrikids.
The final test will be held at the 21 in July in the recreational area of Valmayor, in the municipality of Valdemorillo. On this occasion the federated, popular and Ecotrikids sprint triathlon format will be maintained, returning to the road bike.
The circuit will have the support of the Madrid Triathlon Federation and the General Directorate of Sports of the Community of Madrid. The three tests will be scored for a ranking that will establish the winners of the I Canal de Isabel II Gestión Triathlon Water Circuit, for which there will be cash prizes.
Shortly, the bases and information on the circuit will be communicated on the web that will be created to publicize this initiative of Ecotrimad, Club Deportivo Canal and Canal de Isabel II Gestión.
