Clemente Alonso third in the Ironman of Nice

The Spanish Clemente Alonso has managed to climb to the third position of the podium in the ironman of Nice which has been played today on Sunday.

 

 

The Belgian Frederick Van Lierde, winner in 2011, 2012, has been the winner of the test with a final time of 08:08:59, followed by Bart Aertnouts with 08: 12: 28 and in third position the Spanish Clemente Alonso with a goal time of 8: 35: 52.

 

Clemente Alonso, who opens the 2013 with this great result, has managed to get the 1º out of the water by investing a time of 49: 34 in traveling the 3,8 km of swimming. In the cycling sector the Belgian Frederick Van Lierde has imposed his law getting the best partial to travel the 180 km of cycling with a time of 4: 33: 29.

 

In the marathon the fastest was the Belgian Bart Aertnouts doing the 42 km in 2: 37: 01, but it was not enough to reduce the difference with Van lierde that ended the test with 3: 29 advantage.

 

In the feminine category the North American has been imposed Mary Ellis investing a time of 9: 20: 54, followed in second position by the French Jeanne Collonge to almost 8 minutes and from Delphine Pelletier in third place with a final time of 09: 22: 37.
