Baku Women's Triathlon Chronicle- European Games "Baku from the sofa" by Felipe Gutiérrez
Tamara Gómez finished in fifth position and Miriam Casillas thirteenth.
I woke up early, a quick breakfast and take a seat on my couch to be in Baku, really good to be in front of the TV and its teleport program to see the female Triathlon test.
Yesterday our representatives were not in the opening ceremony, logically they were in the village resting for today, and better therefore the accident of three synchronized swimmers when a bus arrollo to three Austrian synchro swimmers impacted the sports family of the games. A memory for Vanessa Sahinovic of only 15 years that is in an induced coma and that has been transferred to a hospital in Vienna.
The day of the inauguration ceremony had that bad moment, let's hope there is no bad luck during the development of the Games.
9'00- Two Spanish representatives are in the "starlist" of a total of 47 triathletes, with the number 11 Tamara Gómez and with the number 16 Miriam Casillas, personally I am a fan of the Swiss Nicola Spiring that runs with the 5 number. Ainhoa Murua She did not travel to Baku after her injury and she has not been able to be exchanged for another triathlete as could be Anna Godoy, Carolina Routier or another.
There are also other "two Spanish" club Bikes Pina - Soliss - Tritoledo, with the number 32 runs Kseniia Levkovska who does it for the selection of Azerbaijan and with the 26 runs Inna Ryzhykh who does it for the selection of Ukraine.

The favorite Nicola Spirig leaves in the 13º position, while of the Spanish ones we can appreciate that they are far from the group of head.
The triathletes begin to move and we see a completely flat course in a luxury urbanization with some houses with their corresponding pools and where we appreciate that Lisa Norden joins Klamer and they leave alone, although Nicola Spirig makes a change of pace of the persecuting group and manages to join them.
After a group and in the next group we can see that Miriam Casillas goes. At last we can see an image of one of the Spanish ones!
The head of the race, that trio ends the first round in the 32 minute "01 with Spirig, Norden and Klamer in the lead, while the chasing group passes to 28" of this head trio.

10'10- We continue with images of the BTT ... what a morning they are giving us!
10'15- More MTB ... Will we see more of a bicycle? We hope that if they are already on the last lap of the mountain bike and it seems that the Swiss J.Neff is going to get the gold. Maybe in another triathlon another Swiss get it.
10'19- We go to the triathlon, we can see as follows the trio of escapades and a strong Nicola Spirig in "bossy" plan of the test.

The first medals of these I European Olympic Games in the Triathlon modality are for Switzerland, Holland and Sweden. Tomorrow it's the men's turn and without a doubt the Spaniards will be in that fight for the medals.
As a curiosity we have seen that the triathletes carried two chips, one in each ankle, we hope that the final classifications do not fail.
