The Doñana Challenge, one of the mostharder resistance vents that are celebrated annually, is a long distance triathlon made up of three modalities: cycling, swimming and running. What differentiates it from other tests is the order and distance of the disciplines; as well as its journey through places and environments of singular beauty and sensitivity, such as the mouth of the Guadalquivir and the Doñana National Park.

La opening of the inscriptions several months in advance allows triathletes and duathletes interested in participating in the test to better plan their preparation for the competition, and combine it with others who will be competing. The route continues after the extension carried out two years ago in the cycling segment, which went from 90 to 100 kilometers, crossing the town of Trebujena from Cadiz, Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Chipiona, Rota, Jerez de la Frontera and El Puerto de Santa María.

On the other hand, the segments of swimming y Foot race also they maintain the distances with respect to the last editions, one and 30 kilometers, respectively, with the particularity that in the team event the distance in swimming will be 2,8 kilometers.

The true uniqueness of the test is the walking segment, who runs entirely through the unspoiled beach of Doñana National Park, the largest ecological reserve in Europe and a World Heritage Site since 1994, and from which the name of this event derives.

The minimum age to compete is 20 years and there is a limit of participants, 500 athletes in the individual modality and 30 teams in the relay competition. The test is not exclusive for athletes specialized in long distance events. It is also focused on cyclists, runners or duathletes who want to participate in this extreme triathlon formula.
