Down Madrid organizes the most important solidarity duathlon and paradisation in Spain

The event, organized in collaboration with Triathlon Madrid KM0, provides for the participation of more than 1.000 runners in their different modalities

La Down Syndrome Foundation of Madrid (Down Madrid), In collaboration with Triathlon Madrid KM0, will organize the next 12 June a new solidary challenge that foresees gathering more than 1.000 participants in the most important duathlon and paradisation event in Spain.

The objective of this sporting event is to promote the social inclusion of people with Down syndrome or other intellectual disabilities and help them overcome their sporting barriers and challenges, in addition to raising funds that allow Down Madrid to offer them the support and resources necessary for their development .

The race, which will be held in three different modalities (School, Popular and Paraduatlón), will take place at 10.00 hours in the Dehesa del Príncipe from the capital of Madrid (Ctra. de Extremadura Km 8.800). This popular duathlon is the fourth solidary challenge promoted by Down Madrid, after the successes obtained in 2013, when Jacobo Parages crossed the Strait of Gibraltar with the participants of Down Madrid; in 2014, when two athletes with Down syndrome completed, along with Michi Primo de Rivera, the 64 kilometers of the green cycling ring of Madrid in the challenge of the 'Michicleta', and in 2015, when young people with Down syndrome ascended to the Peak of Peñalara, the highest in the Community of Madrid.

La Down Syndrome Foundation of Madrid (Down Madrid) is a non-profit organization whose mission is the achievement of individual autonomy of people with Down syndrome or other intellectual disabilities and their full social inclusion. The work that Down Madrid has been doing for more than 25 years ago would not have been possible without the collaboration of the people and entities that support its work.
