Ecotrimad, Spain Middle Distance Championship at the 2014.

The medium distance triathlon Ecotrimad, which is celebrated in the town of Buitrago de Lozoya, has been chosen as Headquarters to house the Spain Middle Distance Triathlon Championship that the 14 of June of 2014 will be celebrated.

Ecotrimad that already has 4 editions, and with a big poster of winners like Marcel Zamora, Gustavo Rodriguez, Michel Blanchart, Ana Burgos and Estefanía Gómez, has become the reference triathlon of the middle distance in the Region of Madrid and now it has taken a giant step to position it at the national level.

We interviewed Ramiro Lahera, Director of Marketing and institutional relations of Ecotrimad to tell us his impressions about this appointment.

How does it feel to be chosen Ecotrimad as the venue for the Spanish Championship?

 We are very happy, since Ecotrimad started we had a marked route and this one happens to be the Spanish Championship.

 This objective complies with the commitments assumed with those who have supported us from the beginning, the community of Madrid, the Spanish Federation and Madrid Triathlon, the municipality of Buitrago de Lozoya and the Sierra Norte de Madrid and of course, our triathletes.

What will the participating triathletes be able to find?

 Sure, a different test. A hard triathlon, in a spectacular environment, in a historic enclave and with an organization that empathizes with the participants because we are like them.

It is not easy to take a triathlon of these characteristics to the Sierra Norte of Madrid from a logistical point of view, but these problems are supplemented by a triathlon that runs through four reservoirs, surrounded by mountains, passing through charming mountain villages and ending in a medieval castle in a medieval town surrounded by battlements ... A joy and a discovery for an athlete looking for new and different things

In a triathlon that, in spite of its recognition, maintains its essence, it will limit its registrations to 800 seats, opening the deadline for the next 22 of July from the page of the Spanish Federation of Triathlon.
